About Jello

JELLO is an 11 month old, 21.7 pound Maltese-Yorkie Bichon-Poodle mix surrendered to rescue because the owner could not get them all placed and was overwhelmed with puppies. He is a silly boy with a big personality who likes to sit like a prairie dog! JELLO is all puppy and so lovable! He is fun and playful and attached quickly to both of his foster parents. Jello likes kisses and belly rubs and loves all the attention! He will climb, jump, or step on anyone in his way when he wants a kiss and a snuggle. You cannot pet any dog without including him. He will cheerfully push his way into a pack to make sure he gets his share of loving! He loves to cuddle in a lap, and is at his happiest when he is with his people. Jello loves toys, is friendly with other dogs and plays joyfully with his fur brother. We think he would be best in a home with another small dog to play with, but he might be okay as an only in the right home. He had a habit of lightly nipping at your hands for attention when you walk. He has mostly stopped that behavior but older children would be better for him. He enjoys exploring his yard, is working on leash training and should have a home with a fenced yard. His potty training is going very well and he will go to the door to let you know when he needs to go out. At night, he sleeps in a doggy bed in the bedroom. Jello has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. He has a slight limp in one of his legs that has been checked out. The vet said he just has a growth plate that is closing slower than the others and there's nothing that needs to be done about it. MORE about JELLO: He is a puppy and still in the chewing stage so lots of appropriate chew toys are good for him. He listens well and is learning some basic commands. He has not been around cats since we have had him. He gets car sick, but it is easily controllable with meds.
