URGENT, HIGH KILL SHELTER- GOOD HOME OR FOSTER AND RESCUE NEEDED FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL PETITE CHOW GIRL- ONLY 37 LBS! Please help us find a loving home or foster (or foster to adopt) and/or rescue asap for this young, stunning female chow or chow mix at this high kill shelter. Osa was found as a matted stray on 7/17 and has subsequently been groomed. Before this however, she was previously at this shelter, and had been adopted quickly. Unbelievably, her new owner never came and seems to have dumped her. The main picture is her original intake and picture, before she has been groomed, but later pictures show a slightly shorter and cleaner look. Osa is said to be 1 year, 2 months old and currently weighs only 37 lbs, but may be slightly underweight being a stray. Those who have met her describe her as a 'sweetheart'. The shelter tell us, 'She is marked 'green' on our dog walking program which means anyone can walk her, including the new volunteers. To my knowledge, she has not met with any other dogs while in our care.' We just sent a volunteer on 8/13 who took some nice videos of Osa meeting an unspayed female where she did well. However, if you have another dog, we would still recommend a meet and greet if possible. Osa has no reported medical issues. With the shelter full, Osa needs placement asap.
