About Max

Max is a sweet, goofy 2 year old Belgian Malinois I'm fostering from California. He's had a tough life. A lot is unknown, but he showed up to me covered in scabs and with a bandage on his paw after having one toe amputated. He is very submissive, sweet, cuddly, gentle�'�| but the moment he realizes you're his person, he shows his goofy and high energy Belgian side, but he's truly the chillest Belgian I've ever met. This poor boy has had a lot of bad luck. I've been told he was attacked by some dogs in the kennel (which led to the toe fracture and amputation)�'�|but shockingly he is still clam around other dogs and even says hi. Max needs an owner who is patient and has experience training rescue dogs, or the means to get him into lots of classes (I cannot, which is why I'm looking for a better home for him). It took him a few days to warm up to me but now he is the biggest cuddle bug I've ever met. He does great in his crate, amazing at the vet, but needs someone with patience who can help find his confidence. The paw is still healing up but the vet said it should heal just fine.
