About Mimi

MIMI is a 2-year-old, 7.6 pound tri-color lovebug Chihuahua who was surrendered because her owner needed to move back in with family and was not allowed to have her dog there. MIMI is a very sweet, sassy and active girl. She has a big personality and her two speeds are on and off! When she's on, she bounces all over you and wants to play with your hands and tries to get the other dogs in her foster home to play with her, too. When she's off, she is so happy to curl up on your lap or on your chest with her head under your chin. She is a lap baby and loves her people very much! She wants to be wherever they are, but takes a minute to warm up to a stranger. Once she does, they are her friends forever! She will not be happy spending a lot of time away from her person. Mimi is good with other small dogs and would be happiest with a small playful dog friend. She plays ferociously and sometimes sounds like she's trying to start a fight but she just wants somebody to play with her as much as she wants to play with them! She is doing well with potty training and has only had a couple of accidents. She is leash trained and rides well in the car. At night Mimi will curl up on your chest or in your arms or by your feet under the covers... she's happy as long as she is in the bed with you. Mimi had a cleft palate that we had fixed, but she still she has an adorable tiny Elvis lip curl! She's too cute! She has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. When she had the surgery to fix her cleft palate, they gave her a nice teeth cleaning, too! MORE about MIMI: She is fine with older kids and tolerates the cat in her foster home. She is still very much a puppy and has big bursts of energy, but does not stay on 'go' continually. She is mostly a sweet lap dog, happiest curled up with you. Fenced yard preferred, but not required in the right home.
