About YOGI

He's no Shaman and he doesn't know any yoga poses, but 2-year-old YOGI (#A2146635) is learning to pose for pictures, and he'd be happy to do a 'down dog' pose if you enjoy meditating, or not; binge-watching TV, or reading a good book. YOGI's owner came to the East Valley Animal Shelter about a month ago, asking for help so she wouldn't have to give up on YOGI. The young woman, holding her infant, lost her home and job. A friend invited the two to move into her apartment, but no pets are allowed. I gave her the names of a couple of boarding facilities, and she was able to get YOGI into one for a fee she could afford, until her money ran out. She let me know that she had no option but to surrender YOGI to the shelter. The sadness and confusion I saw in YOGI when he arrived, was much like the sadness I saw in his owner. I'm in touch with her and I let her know that YOGI is doing much better. He gets taken to the play yard so he can run laps, enjoy play groups, and he gets loved on by volunteers. I know she'd love to get YOGI back, but more than anything, she wants him to be with someone who will love him like she does. We all want that. YOGI has a Zen-like, easygoing demeanor, but he would also be up for hiking and walking around the neighborhood. YOGI lived indoors and he should have that privilege again.
