About Belle

Beautiful Belle is a treasure of a dog. Friendly, and very loving, she is the perfect companion for a family or an active person who enjoys walking, hiking or just hanging out playing in the back yard. Belle loves to chase balls thrown with a Chuck-It, chase sticks and toys and play in the water. She will leap in the air with joy to catch her favorite ball and eagerly bring it back with a smile for more fun. Belle has been professionally trained and walks well on a leash, knows all basic commands including 'place,' leave-it' and 'wait,' verbally and with hand signals at a distance off leash in public spaces. She has fantastic recall and loves to run off leash, but she stays close, always checking in with her owner. Belle is great with children, loves to play with other dogs and is not leash reactive. Belle is the best watch dog as well - just 60 lbs. (she comes from European GSDs), she sounds like a 130 lb. dog when someone comes to the door with her deep bark but will stay in a 'place' when directed and the door is opened. She really is a wonderful girl. She just can't be in a home with another female dog, especially a higher drive dog, as Belle is the Alpha, so a home without another dog or a neutral male dog is best.
