Howdy! I'm Leo, a perky, super-easygoing, and intelligent 13-pound red Pomeranian/ Shetland Sheepdog mix fella with a smiling, foxy face who was born about June 2012. My size is a nice compromise of the 3-7-pound Pom and the 15-25-pound Sheltie. My trimmed but glorious, long, fuzzy coat shows my Pomeranian heritage whereas my long, wedge-shaped head is reminiscent of the Sheltie. I'm great with everyone -- adults, kids, and other dogs. My favorite activity is providing laughs and companionship with my special hoomans. We Poms combine a tiny body with a commanding big-dog demeanor. We're active but can be exercised indoors or on short walks, so we're perfect for urban or suburban life. The Sheltie is a sensitive and affectionate family dog who tunes in on the mood of the household. Often called 'little Lassies,' Shelties are highly intelligent, agile, and obedient dogs who were originally bred to herd farm animals on Scotland's remote Shetland Islands. My owners are re-homing me because they can no longer take care of me the way I deserve. Thank heavens they turned to their groomer Miss Donna to find me a wonderful home the second time around. The Pom's sunny personality has made us one of the word's most popular toy breeds, so I'm not worried about finding a new home.
