About Quinn

Adoption Fee: $700.00
Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

Quinn is 11 weeks old, physically healthy and has a great deal of energy. She is strong and active; has clear eyes and sleeps well with exercise. We've been walking her at least 4 times a day and also playing with her outside regularly to expend some of her energy. As she is still a puppy she is very mouthy and wants to bite and chew most things. She is AKC, but we haven't registered her yet. She has her micro-chip. I noted most of the categories as unknown since she hasn't spent a lot of time with other humans or dogs; she does get excited when she meets people and other dogs, however because she is so mouthy right now, we are careful with letting people pet her. She can be both quiet and loving with us but also becomes extremely anxious and agitated if we are not directly with her. She will stay and sleep in her crate if she can see us. If we leave her alone in the crate and she doesn't see us she will bark and whine for long periods. She will also relieve herself in the crate if she is anxious. We've been able to teach her the beginnings of sit, stay, down and heel but she also is still not potty trained in a consistent manner. She holds her urine until she can relieve herself when she comes back in the house. She is extremely smart and attentive to us. She came from a large breeder and was with several dogs which we feel may have impacted her inability to be alone for any period of time. We don't have the expertise to help her with her anxiety or the ability to be with her all day due to our work schedules. We feel she would be better suited with someone who has this level of expertise and the time needed to work with her to overcome her anxiety so she has the potential and ability to become a great dog for someone.
