About Luna

Adoption Fee: $390
Australian Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Meet Luna! This Tennessee raised toy aussie is 4 years old, 14 pounds, spayed, and UTD on shots and heart worm. Her beautiful coat and nub tail makes the best wiggle butt. Luna was an owner surrender when her mother's housing situation was changing. You can tell that Luna was well cared for as she strives for attention by rolling over for belly rubs or trying to walk onto your lap for some cuddles. Luna is housebroken and crate trained. She loves her crate and happily goes into it when it's time for bed. During the day she is left to free roam the house when her foster parents are working and is not destructive. Luna loves people and gets along with dogs and children. In both her previous home and foster home, she lived/s with another dog. A temp ASF foster who had children, 8 and 11, said Luna was great with them and her current foster parents said she was fine their nieces, 3 and 4. Luna loves her food and toys. In fact, she'd eat a toy if you let her. Since living with her foster parents, she has learned to sit and stay before devouring her food. She loves playing a good game of fetch, but also enjoys playing independently. She aims to destroy toys and will shred a squeaker apart if not paying attention. Luna did not know any commands other than 'sit'. Her foster parents have introduced 'come', 'stay', 'back', and 'wait'. She is smart and is learning quick. Luna knows what 'no' means and is easily corrected. Luna enjoys going for her daily walks. Well, more so, she enjoys giving you daily walks. She does pull when on leash. Her previous owner used a regular collar, but since living with her foster parents, she has gotten used to wearing a harness. Luna LOVES the water. Her previous owners had no clue. When her foster parents took her to the beach she dove head first into the water to fetch a rock. She also does amazing when given a bath. Luna does have luxating patellas (a.k.a loose knees). Her foster parents say that it doesn't stop her from doing anything! Luna manages it herself as she will randomly do a side kick or bunny hop down steps or while running now and then. The vet recommends monitoring her for now as she seems happy and doesn't seem to be in any pain. If Luna sounds like the perfect fit for your family, please fill out the application. https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new furever family.
