About Hank

Hank is miniature Schnauzer. He is a good dog, but is not in an environment that fits him. He is food-driven and eager to learn. He is currently in a home with 2 kids (11 & 7) and another schnauzer (8). Most of the time he is behaved, however, he has been aggressive towards the other dog and the youngest child. He has also nipped/bit other kids (of various ages) when they have been in the home. We are just not a good fit for him and he is not a good fit for us. Hank likes to cuddle and be at your side, both kids and adults. He walks good on a leash, but we use a training collar on him to keep his attention. He is sometimes muzzled at home and on walks depending on the situation. He has learned to wait at the door, sit, down, spin, around, and kennel and is potty trained (he has never had an accident in the house). He uses a slow feeder bowl. He has worked with a dog trainer, but needs more training. He is our family pet and choosing to re-home him was a difficult decision, but it is best for everyone.
