About Archie

We're heartbroken to rehome our two-year-old Australian Cattle dog, Archie, but are hopeful he will land with a new family who can give him a great life. He is a sweet pup who loves to run around and play fetch outside, lay in the sun, play with his 7-year-old brother who is a Miniature Australian Shepherd, and cuddle with his parents (when we allow him on the couch!). Other than needing to get his energy out, he is a pretty independent dog. He's crate trained (in fact, loves it), prong collared trained, has done two in-depth, two-week trainings at Shamrock Ranch Kennels, and one-on-one trainings with us. He is a lover (and submissive) for his nuclear family and friends he's familiar with and always does really well when he's boarded, but transparently there have been some instances where he was reactive and nipped, once with a puppy and a few others with humans. While these situations haven't been catastrophic, they have been enough to force us to make this difficult decision, as we're expecting a baby soon.
