About Auggie

Auggie is a beautiful, 7 month old, 21 lb., blue merle Corgi/mini-aussie blend. His first home made the difficult decision to surrender him to CCFR as the older, larger dogs in the home were not nice to him. He is full of love AND energy! He plays well with his Corgi foster sister and loves fetch and return. His forever home requires a secure fenced yard for his play time and energy. Preference will be given to a home with a similarly sized active dog for him to play with. He will need an owner who is mostly at home to interact with him and so that he won't be left alone for long periods of time. Auggie is potty trained, crate trained, and knows some simple cues like sit and drop it. He is still learning leash walking and is more confident walking alongside his foster sister. Loud trucks and fenced barking dogs worry him on walks. Auggie has a sweet disposition and even temperament. At 7 months, he is still in the juvenile stage and would benefit from a positive reinforcement training class and lots of fun activities. Auggie has met kids but his experience with cats is unknown. We will consider an older respectful child 10+. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and HW-. He is shy at first meeting but warms up quickly.
