Mack has a great personality and knows many commands (sit, down, stay, out, place, heel). He spent 3 weeks at training and learned all commands with ease. He is trained with an e-collar. The problem is that he is resource guarding with food and toys. It seems to be a result of the relationship we have with him, as the trainer tried everything, but never saw any resource guarding behaviors while he was with them. Within a week of returning home, he was showing his teeth at his feeding time. The trainers believe this is a result of his mom dying when he was just a few weeks old (due to complications from emergency c-section). He didn't get the necessary training that only a mom can give them at an early age. Unfortunately, we were not made aware of this prior to getting him. We feel he would be best in a home with 1-2 adults.
