About Thunder

THUNDER is a 2 year old, 11.3 pound Chihuahua mix who was surrendered after his owner became homeless. He was recently adopted but returned because the home was not the right fit for him. Thunder may be small, but his sweet personality is so big! He can be nervous around new people and needs a little reassurance before he feels comfortable, but once he knows you he is the most affectionate pup. He will bond to a female more quickly than a male. Thunder will greet you at the door with tail wags, sweet kisses, and excited barks. He can't wait for you to pet him and tell him he's a good boy! Thunder loves to play with toys and other dogs and would be happy with a small playful companion. He is good with cats and older kids, too. At night, Thunder sleeps cuddled under the covers in the big bed with his foster family. He is housebroken! We are requiring a home with a fenced yard and a small dog friend. He has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. MORE about THUNDER: Somewhat leash trained but a fenced yard is required. He needs a minute to get to know someone, and is a sweetheart once he does! Playful! Likes chasing squirrels and treats.
