About Kush

Adoption Fee: $200.00
Rottweiler
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

This handsome fella is Kush, 4 years old, neutered, and an extra-large boy at 149 pounds. Kush has been getting into fights with the other neutered male dog in the home and needs to find a new place. He grew up with the other dog and has done well until recently, and they have been having regular rows. There's also a female (unspayed) in the home, and he sometimes argues with her, too. We haven't met Kush in person (he's in Eastern Washington) but he sounds an easy going dog in general - he likes food, butt scratches, and cookies, according to his owner. The vacuum cleaner makes him nervous, and he doesn't like the vibrate collar. He can be aggressive when meeting other dogs and he would probably do best as the only dog. He is house trained with good manners - he does like to sleep on the couch (and takes up a lot of room) - a large ottoman is his favorite though. He likes his toys, and he likes to sleep. Kush has basic obedience and knows sit, shake, other paw, down, give, and come, and his leash manners are so-so - he pulls on leash, but hasn't been leash walked very much. He's lived on property with chickens, and will help herd them if asked, but mostly he just ignores them. He has caught mice and will chase coyotes if they come looking for a chicken dinner. He has not lived with cats. He's been fine with the grandkids (ages 6 and younger) when they come over - licking them and pushing them with his butt to get scratches. He's a little reserved with adult strangers at first, but warms up quickly with treats and butt scratches. This big guy is a cuddler - and a talker, with happy roos when he's excited, and adorable snores when he's sleeping. Kush is looking for a home where he can be your best buddy and would thrive in a home where he was the only pet. Apply to adopt Kush: https://forms.spdrdogs.org/Adoption/ Washington State - no interstate transports. Idaho, Oregon, and BC homes will be considered.
