About Charlie

German Wirehaired Pointer / Lab
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

My name is Charlie! I have so much to offer the world and my new humans. I am around 12 to 18 months old and 70 to 75 lb. We have been back and forth on what my make-up could be. We think I could have some German Wirehaired Pointer in me as well as Lab. I enjoy the finer things in life, such as a good chew bone and a nice belly rub. I am a silly, goofy guy who loves to play, too! I find my thrills through running, playing fetch, and making new doggy friends at daycare. While I enjoy other dogs, I do need an appropriate introduction to my friends to set us off on the right paw. I also need an active family that's willing to exercise with me everyday and to continue my training. I've already graduated from professional foundational obedience training, and I'm ready for more! I love the mental challenges that come with training, and I am so ready to please my human. I am housebroken and I walk well on leash. I do get excited when I see another dog but that's not an uncommon dog thing! I am LOYAL, I LOVE my people and want to be next to you all the time. I can be a complete snuggle bug once I have spent my energy! In summary - what are some things that I would love to have? I need a single family home with a fenced in yard. The fence should be a tall privacy fence because oh boy, I can jump! I need someone that is active. A runner, hiker, someone that loves to play with me in the yard, take walks and help me to exercise my mind - any of those will do. I will need someone that is interested in molding a great dog that can be even better; a person that is interested in training, consistency and routine. 12+ sturdy kids and we have not a clue on the kitties! I am SMART and I will be a loyal companion to you. Here is a link to apply for me: https://asecondchanceforziva.org/adopt/adoption-process-application/
