This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. At this time, Shawn is not considered adoptable and is designated as 'rescue only' for rehabilitation purposes. Shawn's behavior in the shelter environment presents significant challenges that make him unsuitable for adoption. He exhibits extreme resource guarding behavior, which was evident during his behavior evaluation when he displayed aggression and remaining highly aroused even when the bowl was removed. Despite efforts to assess his behavior, Shawn's severe behavioral profile indicates that he requires specialized intervention and rehabilitation beyond what can be safely provided in the shelter setting. As a result, Shawn is not currently considered a candidate for adoption, and efforts are focused on finding a rescue organization equipped to address his specific needs and provide him with the necessary rehabilitation and care.
