About Dax

Wowwie wow! Isn't Dax the most impressive dog you've ever seen? We initially spotted this long-legged fellow down at the animal shelter in Pleasanton, Texas. His humans did not have the resources to take care of him, and he was owner-surrendered as a result. With no one stepping forward to take him home, Dax resided there for several weeks until SNIPSA had space to bring him into our program. And so he made the journey to San Antonio, with high hopes of finding an adopter here instead! Dax is still adjusting to this recent transition, but he is quickly proving to be a very lovable dog. True to the Great Dane archetype, this big guy is loyal, gentle and goofy. He always wants to be with his humans and easily makes friends with other canines. Dax is also fully grown, standing proud at just over 100 pounds (though he could stand to gain a little). This handsome devil is just stunning with his merle coat, and he's got a few manners under his belt. He appears to be fully potty-trained and he walks nicely on his leash.
