Bio: Chai is a sweet but timid chihuahua mix who is looking for a patient and calm family to show her what real love is. It's apparent she was wronged at some point in her life, and is wary of men as a result-but she is warming up to her foster dad one treat at a time. She accepts being petted (by the ladies) and follows foster mom around like a shadow. She wants to trust, it might just take a little while. Thankfully, she is food motivated and happily accepts treats. Chicken hearts and apple slices have been her favorite so far! Chai has gotten along beautifully with the resident dog and cats. We think another dog in the home could be beneficial in helping her become more comfortable in her new surroundings. Chai is scared so a fenced in yard would be ideal. She does well in a kennel, but really doesn't need it. Cozy nights in are at the top of her to do list and she will happily steal a spot on the couch. Our Pack Animal Rescue, Inc.
