About Harley

Handsome and Happy....that's our Harley! This sweet boy is an approximately 5/6 year old, male, 20lb Poodle/Bichon mix. Harley came to us as an owner surrender that could no longer care for him. He came to us with double ear infections, matted hair, overweight, and long nails. He needs an owner that is loving, compassionate, and patient with him. Harley came from a home where the owner kept him shut inside pretty much all of the day with no walks. You must be ok that he will come to you not completely potty trained. He will mark the first few days, BUT he is a very quick learner as long as he has outdoor access/backyard. It took us maybe 4-5 days to get him almost perfectly potty trained (we can give you tips how we did it). Harley is good with dogs his size or smaller but is not good with larger breed dogs and cats. We feel he could be in a home with a dog that is not dominant, but with an owner that will correct him when he shows dominance. He is squirt bottle trained so that is a big plus! He could also be your one and only if you are home most of the day, work from home, retired. He is AMAZING on leash and loves his walks! He needs an owner that will walk him a couple times a day and someone that will play ball with him. He loves it! He loves for you to throw the ball and then he will drop it at your feet to throw again. He will also entertain himself with patting and tossing the ball on his own. It must be a small Kong yellow tennis ball...lol! Harley is a dog that will definitely need a home with a backyard so he can perfect his potty training skills and bask in the sun which he loves to do. Our sweet boy did not get the care and love he deserved in his last home, so we are definitely looking for a forever family for him that will give him that unconditional love that he deserves! Harley is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. We only adopt in the Greater Los Angeles Areas as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required.
