About Brooks

German Shepherd / Border Collie
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

Meet Brooks !! He is a 9 week old male. German Shepherd and Border Collie mix. He will be large, extremely active dog. He is currently 12 pounds. Brooks is a very happy, loving and cuddly puppy! He is very social with people. Sweet and loving. Wants to be with you all the time. He's more bold and brave when it comes to trying new things. Very playful, fun and energetic. Brooks is already a higher energy playful pups. Both breeds tend to stay high energy for years or even lifelong. Please don't adopt this pup if you're not dedicated to exercising your dog every single day. Both mentally and physically. Otherwise you'll end up with a bored, frustrated and destructive dog. He will need a fenced yard. He will not do well in an apartment or small townhouse yard. He needs space to run. He is crate trained but can still be very vocal at times while they are learning. Hes just starting to learn leash training and potty training. For his age he does well with going outside but still has plenty of accidents. Does okay on car rides but is still very nervous about them. Has not met cats. Does great with other dogs. Would do well with another dog friend to play with in his new home. He is fostered with kids and loves them. He still does typical puppy things such as jumping, chew on hands and running into you when excited. All things that should be considered if you have toddlers or small kids. So far we've seen no issues with him sharing food treats or toys with humans or other pets. He will get dewormed, several sets of vaccines, a microchip and neuter as part of his adoption. Adopting a young puppy is a ton of work. They will have lots of potty accidents, chew things up etc. You will need to help them learn things like leash walking, crate training and basic manners. It can be a lot of work but the reward is a dog that fits well into your families lifestyle if you invest proper time on training with them. Please carefully consider the time and effort a puppy requires before adopting. Vet and home checks required. **FENCED YARD REQUIRED*** Located in Hampton VA. (He will need to be adopted within a 1 hour drive radius) '%BC%8FPlease message [email protected] directly with questions or to get an application.'%BC%8F
