About Lucy

Lucy is an amazingly sweet pup who my Mother adopted a year and a half ago. Due to suddenly declining health Mother had to move in with my daughter and I about a month ago. Lucy doesn't not do well with our Miniature Pinscher/Pug mix, Olive. We have been able to manage with a squirt of water but there have been a few dust ups. She is totally driven by food (Mother was having a snack). This is just not safe for anyone. Alone, Lucy is perfect and in fact, she sits at the table when her humans eat and is never food aggressive. This is the most difficult decision we have ever been faced with. I dare say, even more difficult than when it is time to say goodbye to our elderly dogs. It is essential that Lucy be perfectly and carefully placed. She will make someone a wonderful companion. She is very playful and loves toys, walks well on a leash and is very cuddly. She is nonplused by cats. We don't have small children in our family, so uncertain how she does with them.
