About Cooper

Meet Cooper, the best friend you didn't know you needed!! Looking for the perfect running and hiking buddy? Cooper is your guy! How about a cuddle partner to spend those chilly nights on the couch with? Look no further! Cooper is a purebred German Wire-haired Pointer just under one year old. He will delight you with his goofy antics, and lovable demeanor. We think he looks like a colt with his long legs that he hasn't quite yet grown into. Cooper came to us as a stray from the Yakima shelter system . We will never know his full story, whether he was dumped, or lost. All we know is that he is a gem. Cooper LOVES other dogs and enjoys roughhousing with his foster fur sister, playing fetch, cuddling with the resident teens, and smelling all the smells. Like most of his breed, he is medium energy and needs regular exercise and playtime to be his best self. But he after a good romp, he is ready for a nap and some cuddles. He is a big boy and still learning manners, so a home with older children would be best. Cooper's perfect home will be an active family or individual that loves spending time outdoors. They will have a fully fenced yard, and enjoy the mix of medium energy and couch potato that his breed brings to the table. Cooper loves dogs, so a playful dog companion would be a bonus. Sporting Breed experience is a plus. Cooper is housetrained, and is learning new skills, but can be strong on the leash, and still wants to jump up. We think he would love nosework, or maybe basic agility classes. He deserves a family that enjoys training and will help him continue to be the great boy he is. Cooper is VERY sweet and loving. While we are continuing to work on crate training, crates are not his favorite thing. and he will need a heavy duty crate if your schedule requires consistent crating. He would love a person with a flexible schedule. All the more time for love and play! We all love Coop. He deserves the very best. Could his very best be you??
