About Lafayette

Navarre, FL area Lafayette is available for adoption. He is a 6/7 month male Shepherd. He is your typical puppy and has a lot of energy and is very mouthy and enjoys stealing shoes, clothes and anything else he can find to chew. He has a sweet disposition and knows sit, and lays quietly in a crate. He also has not had an accident in the house. He walks okay on a leash but not a regular leash. He pulls at times and has to be reminded it's not okay. He's rambunctious and has lots of puppy energy so an apartment won't work. He needs a big yard. He is not anxious at all and he's not a Velcro dog to one person. He is fine to occupy himself with mischief and doesn't require being around a person 24/7. He's is friendly and loving to those in his home but he's not overly clingy. He will not jump on couches or the bed at all- he won't even try. He also doesn't jump on people. The only time he will jump is if you're sitting, he will jump on your lap to show affection but if this isn't okay then he will listen to firm redirection. (I don't mind ��%A4�) He is a young male shepherd with high drive and energy so he needs to go to someone who has shepherd experience and will take him out and socialize him and firmly teach him how to behave. He does fine with other dogs however I don't recommend he goes with old grumpy dogs because he plays hard and rough. He really would do best with another big playful dog. He's okay to not be the alpha. He accepts being put in his place although he literally will 'sass' back and it's very obvious he is being sassy. He does accept it though. ��%A4� When my dog tiger scolds him or I do he literally talks back. ��%A4� and it's the funniest. He is very mischievous and if left unattended he will chew whatever he can find. He has a loud bark which some may find intimidating and it does come out during play. He likes kids but he also thinks they are his play mates so smaller kids he may not do well because he plays rough. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and ready to go home. however he still needs firm discipline. Lafayettes adoption fee is: 250 and includes vaccines for the first year.
