About Karma

Karma is a very energetic 14 month old Belgian Malinois. She is recovering from abdominal surgery and her spay;the reason she is a little thin. She is really smart and a quick learner! She has been super easy to train and is very food motivated. She knows basic commands and a few tricks. She still needs more work on obedience and healing.I think she will make a great protection dog. She barks appropriately and is not afraid to go and check out noises in the house etc.She's clever and learned how to open the bedroom doors.She is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. She is crate trained and sleeps through the night. She is also housebroken. She'll go to the door when she needs to go out.She has lived with my older Spayed Malinois and they get along great!She did have a problem with resource guarding. This behavior only happened during feeding time when my other dog eats in the same room. Now that I have that figured out she's fine. She also had a habit of eating things she shouldn't. I have really worked with her on this and that has also greatly improved. I do feel that she needs to be with an experienced handler and probably shouldn't be someone's first Belgian Malinois. She could very easily resort back to those bad behaviors If she's not with somebody who is an experienced handler. She also needs a lot of exercise and stimulation.I haven't found a toy she doesn't like. She is not bothered by other dogs that happen upon us. Her recall is spot on! I take her to the park and let her off leash and she returns when called. She actually has not been around children. I think she would be fine around mature children. She has never been around cats or any other animals.The only reason I need to rehome her is because I am now taking care of my elderly father and working full time. Karma needs more attention and stimulation than I can provide at this time. She is spending more time in her kennel than I would like. She is a really sweet and loving pup.
