I am a 2 year old, 14.4 pound mixed breed pup who was LUCKY to be found after spending some time as a stray. LOCATION: Pensacola, FL NEEDS: Fenced yard, an active family. I am a sweet, happy, and active boy! Sometimes I am a bit hesitant with new people and in new places, but you can win my heart over with a treat or two. I can be very excitable, but I also love to snuggle on a cozy sofa or chair with my person. I like to nap in a bed next to my foster mom's desk during the day. It is exhausting watching her work! I think it would be fun to have a furry friend about my size, or bigger, that loves to play as much as I do. I am kind of active and probably would be overwhelming for a smaller friend though. I am very interested in the cat in my foster home but my foster mom says my new home probably shouldn't have a cat. I have not been around kids, but I think I would really like to have older kid friends. I can run and play with them! When I'm not snuggling with my people, I am constantly in motion. I can jump 4 feet in the air! I love to play with empty water bottles because they make a satisfying crunchy sound. Want to play tug-of-war with me? It is one of my favorite games! Did I mention that I am smart? I quickly learned to use the doggie door and I know to potty outside. My yard should have a secure fence for me to run and play. I am curious about what is outside, so I tend to run out the door, and I am fast. As my new people, you should know to be careful when opening and closing doors. If you try to grab me I will dart away, but I am easily bribed with those treats. After a full day of romping and roughhousing, I love to sleep in bed with my new people! Feeling Lucky? Lucky has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *We are located in Pensacola Florida. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. Most others we will consider within a 5-hour drive. We do not ship or transport our dogs. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted.
