LOCATION: Lawton, Oklahoma DOB: 11/30/2020 Daisy is a gorgeous harlequin Great Dane. She is like most, a very Velcro Dane. She is a true beauty, possessing a unique blend of playfulness, goofiness, and undeniable charm. Daisy's velcro tendencies make her the perfect companion, always eager to be by your side, whether you're in the car, giving her a bath, or just enjoying some downtime at home. She's gradually warming up to the idea of a crate, but she will get there no doubt. Her playful, toy-hiding antics are an endearing quality. She has such a silly personality. Despite being a smaller Dane, Daisy is a powerhouse of love and affection, likely to stay just under 100 lbs as she continues to grow. This darling Dane is a lap enthusiast, ready to snuggle with you all day if given the chance. It takes just a few minutes for Daisy to warm up to new people, after which she becomes a petting diva, happy to receive ALL the affection for as long as she can. The same applies to her interactions with other dogs - a bit of time, and she's ready to engage in playful wrestling and games. She just needs to take initial meetings slow. Daisy hasn't experienced cats yet and children over 12 would be ideal. Leash training is underway, and this determined Dane is sure to make strides. She is heartworm positive and is being treated for that. Initially, Daisy exhibited some snappiness during first introductions to her foster family, rooted in fear. She was startled out of a deep sleep and reacted with a snap as well. However, in the loving care of her fosters, this behavior has lessened, but they are monitoring it as she settles in. Daisy is slowly learning that unfamiliar settings can be met with tolerance and trust. A patient owner is needed to help her navigate thru measured introductions so she can feel confident and shine. She wants to be able to show off her best behavior. As Daisy looks forward to finding her forever home, she brings with her joy, a sprinkle of goofiness, and an abundance of love.
