About Lennon

German Shepherd / Chow Chow
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Lennon came to us as a stray who was found around the middle school. She had been living in that area for months with no owner to speak of. We know she probably belonged to someone at some point, but they never came to reclaim her. Lennon has been on hold for a while due to being pretty fearful. She lived on her own for so long that she just wasn't used to being handled by people very often, and simple things like going over her head, sanding over her or leashing her used to scare her pretty bad. Thankfully, she has warmed up in her time here and all of those things can be done with no issues from Lennon. She is a truly beautiful girl who wants to be loved despite never knowing what that feels like. So far, she has learned to walk gently on a leash, can shake and will also sit for treats. She's smart and can catch onto anything you're willing to teach her! Due to her past with us, we would like to find her a family that is familiar with shepherds in particular so that they understand her breed is just naturally sort of anxious. She is a lot more confident that she was, but will of course need to adjust to actual home life. Lennon is great with other dogs and would be a fine addition to any pack of dogs you might have. %90%BE Lennon is around two years old and weighs 62 pounds. She has been vaccinated and dewormed for internal parasites. Heartworm test is pending at this time.
