About Kona

Hi, I'm Kona. I'm looking for a new family to share love and adventures with. I am looking for a family that can provide me a healthy and safe place to enjoy life. I prefer someone who understands the breed I come from or willing to learn about me and my genetics. It would be best if I had a backyard to run around in. I may be able to live with another dog, but it could take a little getting used to because I've been the only dog in my current family. So, I might be better being the only pet. I like all the love and attention to myself. I enjoy laying around the house when I'm inside. When I get a chance to go outside, I enjoy smelling everything. During the summer, I love chasing the water coming from the water hose. My favorite toy is a squeaky ball. I'm a curious dog and I have to see who is at the door or if we get a visitor, I have to smell them. I can learn to go to my place when I hear someone knock. You'll have to teach me if this is what you want me to do. At first, I am a little wary of strangers until I feel comfortable. I am very smart so I can learn a lot of new things you are willing to teach me. Treats are a good way to teach me what you want me to learn. I currently know how to sit, come, stay, wait, roll over and lay down. I am house trained and crate trained. I only use the restroom outside. If you have to leave me alone at home, I can stay in the crate for a few hours. But make sure I use the restroom before you leave. I have never chewed on any furniture but I do like a chew toy, especially, if there are treats. I can't wait to met you and see if you are a good match for me.
