About Sirus

Siberian Husky
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

My name is Timo and I'm currently in San Antonio,TX and about to move to Denver, CO on the 1st of February. Last Friday (19th) I found a Husky while walking on a trail with my two little girls. A dog (we now call Sirus) walked our way and was curious about us. He paused shortly by me, my girls and our wagon we had and then decided to walk away in the opposite direction of us. I thought I would see his owner shortly after but no one showed up, a few minutes later he came back and decided to hang around us while we walked and it became obvious by how dirty and wet he was that he no longer had an owner. He had a collar on and the leash on it was only a few inches long and torn, I decided to take him to the vet to check for a chip but no chip was found. So we decided to take him to the pet store and get him a few things and schedule some shots. We took him home and gave him a warm and much needed shower, and later took him for an exam and rabies shot. The vet said he's probably been out on his own for over a week and that everything seems fine besides him being underweight. He's a good dog and hasn't barked, nipped or tried to bite anyone or anything since we found him. My family and I can not keep him long term because my youngest has severe eczema and can't manage healthy skin with any hairy pets. I have exhausted my options here in San Antonio, I've contacted every place here that is a no kill shelter, rescue place, asking random people while I walk him if they want a dog but no luck. I found one lady that took him for a day and a half and she reached back out and gave him back because she couldn't handle him (this was the 28th, a few days before we move) everywhere is telling me to let him lose again and call the city to pick him up but If I do what 3 things could happen; 1. he doesnt get picked up and he dies out there, 2. he gets picked up and he gets killed at the city shelter because they and everywhere else in Texas is full, or 3. he gets picked up and adopted before being killed. I can't let him lose with the chances of him dying so high and still not exhausting all my opinions (that being hold on to him for a little more till I found a home or rescue in Colorado). - White & grey husky - Year or less old - Potty trained - Not neutered - Not chipped - Has his rabies shot; nothing else.
