About Bailey

German Shepherd
Sex: Female

This is Bailey. She was my moms pup but she passed back in august and I've been desperate to find her a new home since. I tried taking her in myself but it's been a struggle with my finances, mental health, and current living situation. She is a huge goofball. She will love you more than anything else once she gets to know you and earn trust. She is a rescue so her past is unknown. She may have history of abuse so she can be hesitant and reactive at times. She's never harmed anyone or anything. She just needs extra work with training and someone who is going to be very patient with her. She'll do best with no other dogs in the home, but she can warm up to them. It just takes patience and training. She does get jealous easily and seems to be more fearful of older dogs. She has lived with a pup tho and they played all the time. Cats are okay, but she can play rough. Kids are unknown. She's lived with one from age 10-13 and she loved her. Idk about younger kids. She doesn't like small dogs. She has barrier issues so that's definitely something that needs training. She'll bark a lot and charge through gates. But won't do anything beyond that. She loves baths, being brushed, and sleeping on the bed (but if you don't like that she is fine In her own space) She is the smartest dog you'll ever meet, very easily trainable. She knows all the basics (like sit, down, stay/wait, handshake, kennel and potty trained, and does very well on walks) WITH MEN: She's very hesitant and shows aggression. (Barking loudly and hackles going up) She's lived with many over the last couple years and she tolerated them but everytime they came in the house she would bark and get upset. But never tried harming them. If they approached her to reassure her she would just cower %BD%BD%BD%BD she does get more comfortable but that fear is still there sadly. I think she would do best with a female but I believe with training and time she can gain trust from a male owner. If any questions please message me. If you know of any resources please reach out. It's been such a struggle finding her a good home. People have ghosted me or just changed their mind. I've run out of help. There's no rehoming fee. I just want her to have a good loving owner. %BD%BD%BD
