Meet and greets will be held in TARZANA, CA https://pawsitivetailstoremember.forms-db.com/view.php?id=17980 NASH is 6 years old, weighs 20 lbs, and is a neutered, vaccinated and microchipped male Purebred PUG with the traditional fawn and black short-haired coat which will require regular minimal care. This guy is absolutely adorable and he absolutely loves everyone! Nash can use a doggie door; he has good leash and walking manners; he is dog, children, and adult friendly and he will easily fit into any household and family and he will definitely bring his family tons of joy! He is a Pug, so we are looking for an experienced Pug owner who knows the breed and understands what they need. Pugs are a Brachycephalic Breed: These dogs commonly have physical features that make it difficult for them to breathe the way a dog normally should. The features of bracycephalic syndrome are: stenotic nares (small narrowed opening of the nostrils), elongated soft palate, hypoplastic trachea (smaller, more narrow trachea that extends down into the lungs), +/- everted laryngeal saccules that can protrude out if there is chronic respiratory disease. These dogs should not be exposed to extended periods of heat in the summer, and should be kept indoors in a cool, air conditioned environment, as being exposed to prolonged heat can cause respiratory distress. Care should be taken to not exercise these dogs in hot weather.The weight of these dogs can affect their respiratory system. It is recommended that you keep the dog in normal body condition and prevent excessive weight gain/obesity. You should go to your own veterinarian to discuss how best to maintain this.
