Colt was found shivering as a stray & made his way into the shelter in the least favorable way.. on a snare. He was avoidant & didn't want to leave his kennel. The idea of a leash frightened him & going by reactive dogs, he froze in fear. Hot dogs helped to distract him & he entered the bucket to ride to the meet & greet room. His next outing went much better. He solicited attention, took treats gently & was excited to see the 2nd handler approach & greeted with tail wags! Colt remains wary of strangers & startled easily, so no children under 12 in the home would be best. Colt needs a foster to live. He's hoping you have a quiet house he can settle in & you can teach him to trust again. Once he warms up & knows you are safe, Colt seems to become a different dig. He's very playful & sweet & loves to give kisses. Please apply here to foster me AZFosters.com
