Zora was one of my first puppies produced, and a now retired breeder. I am no longer breeding, and am moving across country so unfortunately some of my dogs are having to find a new home. She is relatively small for a corgi, and weighs 24 lbs. She was born at our previous house in Washington, and was raised on our ranch here in southern Oregon. She has been raised on a mainly raw diet, supplemented with kibble. She is a very smart dog, and she actually helped out with herding livestock when we were a functioning ranch. She is extremely sweet and cuddly when it comes to people, but she can have issues with other female dogs. I imagine that this will ease when she is fixed, but I do not recommend she go to a home with other small female dogs. As far as health goes, she has been extremely healthy throughout her life, but she does carry 2 copies of the DM marker gene so she is at risk of developing this condition as she ages. Having two copies does not guarantee she will develop Degenerative Myolepathy, but rather that she is at an increased risk of developing it (roughly 30% chance from my research). She does have a bad habit of chasing the cats here, but she doesn't ever harm them. The cats actually enjoy her company when they aren't being chased, and they interact with no issues. She has not been socialized with dogs outside of the property as I ran a closed breeding program, so she may take a little bit of time to get used to other dogs. She has no issues when it comes to meeting new people, but she has not been around young children, so I would recommend that she goes to a home with older children, or no children. Her adoption fee is $100, along with the agreement to have her fixed by your veterinarian as soon as can be scheduled. Please call me for more information, or to schedule a time to meet her!
