About Orpheus

Playful and athletic, yet gentle and funny, Orpheus is ready to make your home complete! Orpheus is a smiley 3-year-old mix of two of the smartest breeds, German Shepherd and Husky. He is an active soul who relishes walks and runs. He enjoys being with other dogs no matter how large or small. While he is able to live with a fellow canine sibling (or be your one and only), cats need not apply! He is not a fan of pets that purr! Handsome Orpheus is a little nervous when meeting new people and facing unfamiliar situations, but don't let that deter you because he is definitely worth some extra patience. With a bit of time and some tasty treats, Orpheus becomes a loyal and affectionate companion. He eagerly welcomes affection once he's comfortable with you, just like he shows his caregivers at the Manchester Animal Shelter. Due to his initial nervousness, he's best suited for a home without young children but would thrive in an active, patient, and understanding environment.
