About Millie

It breaks our heart, but we are in need of rehoming our 1.5 year old mix, Millie. Our infant son has severe allergies to her, and I recently tested allergic as well. It has made it impossible to have her around the way we would like (or the way she deserves). About Millie- she is a high-energy, lovable tripod! Her leg was amputated at 12 weeks after an accident (we believe with a car), at which point we adopted her. It doesn't slow her down though. She loves toys, running around the yard, digging, and eating. She is 35lbs, spayed, and fully up-to-date on all vaccinations. Important to note: Millie has shown a tendency to resource guard. Nothing concerning has happened, but she has flexed a protective posture when she has something she values (certain toys and foods). We don't believe this to be a serious concern at all, but it's worth noting as we're not sure if that is related to her amputation or not. We believe she would do best as an outdoor dog with room to roam, or in a single-dog household. We would love to give her a loving home, and we have her toys, food, crate, etc to ensure she has as much as possible to feel comfortable.
