About Jasper

Jasper is a super intelligent heeler who knows the commands: sit, stay, speak, roll over, shake hand, high five and close the door. He actually closes the door with his nose! Jasper loves to play fetch with balls, sticks, and frisbees. He catches frisbees in the air. Jasper loves to hike, hikes very well off-leash, and has great recall. Jasper does well around horses on hikes. Jasper knows how to climb lower trees. If you put a stick in a tree and tell him to fetch it, he will climb the tree and retrieve it! Jasper has perfect manners in the house. He is completely house broken and does NOT chew anything except his own toys. He does NOT get up on furniture, beds, or counters. Jasper does NOT steal food. Jasper loves being outside and going on car rides. Jasper is protective of his home and barks when strangers come to the door. He is not aggressive, just vocal, and warms up quickly to strangers. Jasper likes to lay on the floor at your feet when you are watching TV. Jasper is very obedient and treat-motivated and quickly learns new tricks and commands. Jasper is calm when he is being brushed. An ideal home for Jasper would be with someone who has a large yard and is an avid hiker, or someone who has a ranch/farm but who would also have Jasper sleep and hang out in the house with them.
