About Princess Peke

To meet PRINCESS PEKE and be considered for adoption you must first submit an ADOPTION APPLICATION: www.aplaceofhoperescue.com PRINCESS PEKE is a 7 year old, 12.2 pound Pekingese who was surrendered by her owner. LOCATION: Pensacola, FL NEEDS: Doggy friend and fenced yard preferred! Princess Peke is as sweet as she is beautiful! She loves attention and does a happy dance and makes happy talk-y noises to get your attention so you'll rub her belly. She loves being picked up and held, but her little legs keep her from jumping up on laps or sofas or chairs. Princess Peke has been wonderful with all the other dogs she has met. She would love having another small, calm dog in the home. We have not had her around kids or cats but don't anticipate a problem with either. Since she has not been tested with kids we would prefer a home with older kids. Princess Peke loves being outside. She is learning how to walk on a leash and it is going well. She has had a few accidents inside but that is only been when her foster mom has been working for long hours and she has not been taken out. We can't blame her for that! Princess Peke has discovered that dog beds are nice and warm! She has learned how to come up the steps into the big bed but she typically doesn't stay there long, preferring to sleep on her own. She has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, has been fecal tested, is heartworm negative and has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot. She had a dental when she was spayed and is microchipped with a lifetime registration maintained by the rescue. Princess Peke is a super sweet, loving good girl looking for a super sweet family to call her own! *We are located in Pensacola Florida. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. Most others we will consider within a 5-hour drive. We do not ship or transport our dogs. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted.
