About Ginger

Adoption Fee: $200
Maine Coon / Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

**FOSTER-TO-ADOPT HOME NEEDED** Meet Ginger, a gorgeous 1.5-year-old longhaired maine coon/orange & white tabby with the fluffiest coat and beautiful green eyes. Did you know that only 20% of orange cats are female? She's a rare gem and an absolutely amazing girl! Ginger came to our rescue in the spring of 2023 and was previously apart of a trap-neuter-release (TNR) program so she has a clipped ear. However, after trapping her, the shelter saw how friendly she was kept indoors! She was adopted shortly after her arrival but sadly was recently surrendered back to us due to no fault of her own. Ginger was having some mouth issues and the owners were not willing to continue medical care to figure out what was going on. After several tests, it was determined that Ginger has stomatitis and she is currently waiting for a consult with a veterinary dentist (scheduled for 2/7). They will likely recommend a full mouth extraction to combat the issue but then she'll be ok and will continue living a wonderful and healthy life. All veterinary care will be paid for by the rescue until she's better. She's currently eating pureed food and handling the situation just fine. That being said, Ginger is looking for a foster-to-adopt until she's fully healed. Ginger is super affectionate, sweet, gentle, and loves being pet - she'll also rub up against you and give you kisses. She will show how content she is while working hard at the bakery 'making biscuits.' Ginger is very social and will meow and purr at you for attention. She will light up when you walk into the room and is always so happy to see you! At night, she will sleep all over you for snuggles. Ginger is not really a fan of other animals so she must be your only pet. She'd be fine in a family with children of any age and will make a purrfect companion. Her adoption fee is $200 and Ginger is vaccinated, microchipped, FIV/FELV negative, and spayed. To apply for this beauty, please complete our application at https://form.jotform.com/201805462692153.
