Courtesy Posting: UTAH- X URGENT, YOUNGER, SWEET PUREBRED CHOW GIRL 'LAYLA' NEEDS A CHOW SAVVY HOME OR FOSTER AND RESCUE TO STEP UP TO GET HER OUT OF BAD SITUATION- KID FRIENDLY, LIVES W OTHER DOGS. Please help us find a chow savvy home or foster and rescue for this younger, sweet chow girl named Layla asap. She has been living in a home with young children and two other chows who all get along, but due to certain circumstances (seem to be jealousy), the female dogs in the home have begun to fight. However, Layla gets along with many dogs when she goes to the dog park which we have video of, and is fine with the male dog in the home. Layla is now 3 years young, and her owner who has had her since a puppy says, 'She absolutely loves kids and other people but I have not had her around cats. She has also been socialized since day 1 so she does great with all dogs/people. She is a really great dog whom I've trusted to be off leash at dog parks. I worry about her with smaller dogs because she does like to chase them and almost scare them but then again she is great with our family miniature yorkie mix dogs. Never had a problem with bigger dogs (she does great with our older male chow) until she started fighting with one of our other chows (female).' The owner further clarified that she has only chased small dogs in circles but doesn't seem aggressive. However, we are ideally looking for a home with no other dogs, or male dogs only who are similar in size and are not overly dominant. Layla is said to be AKC but does need entropion surgery on at least one of her eyes, so we are hoping to find a home who can either take this on or a rescue to assist with the adoption process (where the adopter can they foster to adopt). If you are in a position to be that home, or can possibly foster her for a rescue, please contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to assist the owner with her placement. Serious inquiries only who are chow savvy, responsible, can do a home check, and provide a vet reference. We will be posting videos, more pictures, and any further updates on her Facebook post: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid0JEn4WDe7Mk3rEyxC5wM7EQFdr4q6vN5Tx3jdaAGE8xMRGYdZfrDDWfTMsSijs15ql&id=783968124 Note:To view contents of link, you will need to copy and paste it into your browser.
