About Oliver

Hello! My name is Oliver, I am a shepherd/husky mix. I am roughly 4 months old. For a puppy I do not have an abundance of energy. Don't get me wrong, me and my foster brothers play really hard but I have a good chill button when inside. I am great with little kids, I do not jump on them or run them over and I LOVE my foster cats. Especially my fellow foster cat Chester. I do get a little rough, but Chester usually puts me in my place (or my foster mom). I don't mean any harm I just am not sure of my boundaries yet. Being a puppy, I do like to chew things, sometimes I chew the wrong things (like my foster parents crocs) but I am easily corrected with a nice bone. I am working on putting my butt on the ground for treats and when I get my kibble. House training is going okay, I sometimes forget I am supposed to pee outside but my foster parents are good about making sure I go outside frequently. My favorite part is when I get a treat after I went potty outside! I do not like my crate and I tend to have some serious meltdowns when I have to go in there. I like it when my foster mom lets me hang out in the room with my foster brother while she is away. They ease my nervousness of being left alone and I don't chew or use the potty when with them alone for a small period of time. I will do great with other dogs, cats or even other animals as long as I am properly introduced ( I tend to be a bit over curious with my nose). I have been around horses and while I love to eat their poop, they scare me so I just avoid them. I do tend to wander when not being watched closely so I cannot be off leash without supervision, but I am getting used to my collar that beeps to let me know I have gone too far and I come right back to get a treat from my foster parents. I can walk on a leash okay, I still don't understand why it pulls on me but that's because I want to run free like my foster brothers. My foster mom says I am very smart and handsome and will make someone a great dog. I am curious and fun but not rough and do my best to listen so I don't get in trouble.
