To meet BEAR and be considered for adoption you must first submit an ADOPTION APPLICATION: www.aplaceofhoperescue.com Meet BEAR! Bear is a 1 year old, 13 pound Yorkie mix who was owner surrendered to us LOCATION: Pensacola, FL NEEDS: Fenced yard, cuddles, time with his family. No cats. Bear is very sweet and wants to be loved all the time. He likes to be near his people and follows his foster family around the house. He is a snuggle bug who devotes himself to anyone who will give him love and a lap! Bear does not like to spend a lot of time alone. He is curious and is the kind of dog who needs activity and stimulation to keep him busy. He is still very much a puppy and loves toys and playtime. Bear has good energy and would love a decent sized fenced yard. He has spells where he wants to run and run fast! He is about 90% potty trained, much better than when he came in. Like many dogs he's not a fan of going outside to potty in the rain and prefers to be in the yard at night only when his foster mom accompanies him. Bear is great with the other dogs, big and small, in his foster home. He might be fine as an only dog too, as long as he doesn't spend a lot of time alone. He is good with kids and likes to sleep with his foster family's young daughter. He does not like cats, that is why he was surrendered. Bear curls up in the big bed to sleep and likes to snuggle under blankets. During the day when he is not playing he likes to nap in dog beds. Bear has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. This little cutie is looking for a family to love! *We are located in Pensacola Florida.
