Available again- previous adopter fell through. Please read entire description before sending an inquiry! Say hello to Cosmo! :) Cosmo was born in 2020 and came into my home that summer as my COVID kitten. He is a kitten sized adult cat, he weighs about 7-8 lbs and is very petite. He came from a well known breeder in Michigan. Cosmo has been around multiple other cats his entire life but over the last 18 months has become increasingly aggressive with the senior and special needs cats in my home adding much stress to everyone. He currently lives with me and 5 other senior cats. Cosmo loves playing, snuggling, and being the center of attention. He also loves spending time outdoors and has had some training in being an 'adventure cat'. He hates wearing clothes with me, but this may be different when he is on his own. Cosmo MUST be an only cat! He has never been around dogs, so I'm not sure what that would be like. My dream is that he would be adopted by someone who can spend lots of time with him and lives in a warm climate. He loves playing and exploring the outdoors when the weather is warm. My ideal candidate would have previous experience with Sphynxes and would occasionally send me updates regarding his wellbeing. I am a cat mom who rescues senior and special needs cats and over the last 10 years I've had almost 20 cats, all have spent their final days in peace with me. I've never had to rehome a cat due to behavioral issues, and this process is a very difficult one for me. I want nothing but the best for my special boy, and right now I feel he and the other cats in my home cannot live their best lives alongside one another. Cosmo is up to date on his vaccines and had his first HCM screen in 2021. His heart was normal at that time and he wasn't recommended for another screening for 3-4 years. When Cosmo is in an aggressive mode or is cold, I notice that he will urinate outside the box, usually next to it. He will often do it right after attacking another cat in the home near where he attacked them. He has never, ever been aggressive with me or another human and has loved the few encounters he has had with children. He loves people and their attention especially if their hands are warm. I sense that his urination issues are likely a means of asserting dominance in the house. He will come with all of his vet and adoption records. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have about Cosmo and include any and all pertinent information about yourself that would make you the best home for this special dude! I will not respond to inquiries with price haggling. His adoption fee is firm. In your inquiry, please provide as much relevant information as possible to help me get to know you as a potential adopter. I'm interested in your experience as a cat owner, your current home/work life situation as it would relate to Cosmo, your financial stability and ability to care for Cosmo if he became ill, etc, where your location is, etc. Cosmo is not a toy for a young child, I will only consider adopting him out to a home where he will be a member of the family and treated as such.
