About Peaches

Meet Peaches, a precious two-year-old, 14 lb. miniature schnauzer with the softest fur and gentle, soulful eyes. She was found in Texas as a stray with her brother, Luigi (also up for adoption). Both pups were in horrific condition, barely recognizable as dogs. They have since been vetted, groomed, and are in loving foster homes ready to find their happily furever after! Peaches lives up to her name and truly is the sweetest pup. She loves everyone she meets, including kids of all ages and other pups. She enjoys being with people and is a bit of a shadow, but also does fine when she needs to be left alone. In new situations, or meeting unfamiliar people, Peaches can be a bit nervous, but warms up quickly and lets you know by coming in for a snuggle. She also gets along very well with the calm dog in her current foster home. She is working hard on her house training and is also doing well with learning how to walk on a leash. When she first arrived to the rescue, she had no idea how to! While Peaches is fine in her crate, she'd much rather be with you and will sleep soundly in her bed throughout the night. She loves treats and does not resource guard her food or toys. Schnauzers can be a vocal breed but she rarely barks and tends to be a pretty quiet pup. Overall, Peaches is just a wonderful girl with a very sweet, loving, and calm disposition. She would fit well into many households and would be a great companion to anyone looking for their new furry best friend!
