Large Couch potato,-house hippo redbone coonhound. Around 90 lbs of heavy redhead love. We've had him for about 2 years, we adopted him from Sarges in Waynesville NC, he was very skinny and needed a safe space. Unfortunately, has become an bit more anxious around small children he does not know. Has a past of biting small children that he doesn't know. Absolutely loves with all his big heart until he's nervous, and only protecting us. We have 2 children that he's never had any issues with. He loves couches and warm spaces, will stay close to home and the people he loves and is territorial. Also, kind of afraid of loud noises, like gun shots. We don't know his past but we know now that he comes with some mental baggage. We love him so much but we do have visitors with small children and we don't feel it is safe for human or dog to keep him with us. He needs a home with adults, no kids. Feed him and keep him warm. Perfect on a leash. House trained. Plays well with other animals but loves to be comfy and sleeping. Definitely a great guard hound and will howl anytime someone comes to the house. He will be the best lap house hippo in the world.
