About Birdy

Poor Birdy was found abandoned at a local park. She was malnourished, cold, and covering herself up in a pile of leaves. Initially she was very fearful of humans, but once she realize we were there to help she allowed us to place a lead on her and get her to the shelter where she has been ever since. Birdy is a sweet dog who was severely mistreated. She has scars all over her body from being beaten, yet she is still so trusting and sweet to her people. She was nearly starved to death which has allowed all of her bones to show. She has started putting weight on, but we know that what she really needs is a forever home to help her get back into shape. She is great with other dogs and due to her gentle nature we believe she would be perfect for a home with kids or elderly people. Birdy is about four years old and weighs 35 pounds at this time.
