Raymond Beagle/Tree Walker Coonhound mix Male 4 years old 32 lbs Hi there, my name's Raymond! I'm the sweetest, happiest pup, and I can't wait to find a forever home of my very own! I'm a sweet boy who loves to snuggle up with my people and get all the love. I'm also lots of fun, and I enjoy going on walks and hikes (I'm such a great Colorado dog!) I love playing ball, and I have a blast hanging out with other dog friends. I'm down for anything, as long as you're by my side! My foster family says I am a smart boy who knows how to 'sit,' 'shake,' and 'lay down'. I get along well with most dogs but I also would do totally fine as a solo dog as well. I am playful and friendly towards cats, so I'd do well in a home with cat friends too (but I'd be best with a cat who likes dogs since I like to engage and play!). I don't have experience with kids yet so I'd do best in a home with kids over the age of 10 years old. It is important to note that I do have some handling sensitivities. When people try to physically force me to do something I don't want to do (like putting me into a kennel) ,I can get nippy and will growl to express my boundaries.. Therefore, I just need gentle guidance and not forceful guidance. I think this is a reasonable request to make of humans! I'm a great listener with positive reinforcement strategies so I just need an adopter who understands that about me and is happy to set me up for success with positive interactions. I get a bit lonely when left home alone right now so I take an anxiety med to help me feel more relaxed overall. It has helped me so much, especially as I'm learning new routines! Because of this, I will need an adopter who will make sure to continue my meds long term (they cost around $15/month, so they are really affordable!) And in general, I would prefer a home where my humans are around a lot of the time or where my humans can take me to work with them (I also do great at doggy daycare!) Because I get sad when my humans leave and I express that sadness with some barking, I am not the best apartment-loving dog. Can't blame me for that-Beagles and Hounds just like to share their opinions with their voices sometimes! Are we meant to be best friends forever?
