We adopted Penny when she was ~month+ old from a rescue. We also have an 8 yo. ragdol in the house. Although Penny gets along great and wants to play with Lucy (the ragdol), the relationship is not mutual. Our old cat did not accept Penny. We should've followed introduction protocol, but we didn't know about it at the time. Right now the situation is not good in many aspects, and in choosing sides we have to stay with our old friend Lucy. Penny is still in kitten, not fully grown. She is affectionate, likes to cuddle with owners. She is playful, but she is also cautious at first, she takes time to develop trust. I think presence of another cat is distracting to her. She doesn't scratch or bite, she's a regular playful kitten. Potty trained. Can give away her expensive Breeze cat litter. We have two.
