About Timmy

Adoption Fee: $200
Sphynx
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Timmy is a wonderful sphynx cat who is about 4 years old. We took Timmy in at about 9 months old and we love her dearly. She lives with my family, we have a dog, 2 other sphynx cats, and my 10 month old daughter. Timmy loves our baby, and has let her learn to pet and even cuddled together when she was younger. However, since my daughter's arrival, Timmy's stopped using the litter box entirely. She used to have what we called 'accidents' sometimes and we were okay with picking up after her or cleaning her tail but she has now begun peeing on our daughters toys, blankets, clothes as well. We started moving it all, and she peed on our couch, then made a space under the couch. I'm unsure if she's anxious due to the dog, or the baby, or something else. But we've tried everything regarding the litter box, I've taken her to the vet and she has no known health concerns. I can't afford anxiety medication for her on a regular basis, and as my daughter grows, it will be more difficult to make sure the house is accident free, or to clean up after her as her accidents occur. I've even tried catching her in the act and redirecting, which may have been wrong and led to the under the couch situation. The truth is that we've been desperate to find a solution, we love her. But at this point, we believe the best thing we can do is find someone who understand her. It breaks my heart to submit a rehoming post, but I'm running out of options. Timmy loves her cat siblings, and even tried to like our dog, but she was too high energy. Timmy is small, always has been and so our dog intimidates her when she's excited. The fee is to ensure Timmy's safety as we know that a young sphynx who isn't fixed can be used for breeding, and we want Timmy's health and safety to remain the priority. Please reach out if you feel you can help us with Timmy. We want to ensure she will be happy, well cared for, and loved as she deserves even if that means she's not with us.
