Arf! Arf, everyone! I'm Shooter, a very loving, good-natured, even-tempered, and exuberant 44-pound tricolor Australian Shepherd mix fella who was born about November 2021. Actually, I'm the colors of a Bernese Mountain Dog but much, much smaller. I get along with everyone - adults, kids, as well as other dogs. We 'Aussies' are the cowboy's lean and tough herding dog of choice. We're rugged, agile working dogs with a strong herding instinct. So we may exhibit an irresistible urge to herd anything, including birds, other dogs, and kids! We have the mental drive and stamina to work all day long! We're active dogs who require plenty of outdoor exercise, which may be too much for an owner who's a couch potato. We're also so highly intelligent that we can hoodwink an inexperienced owner if we're neglected and get bored. But we're perfect if you're looking for a brainy, tireless, trainable, versatile, and loyal partner to share your sports. We're even good candidates for dog sports, if that's your pleasure. It may be hard to believe because I'm so handsome, but I was found as a stray in the woods. Miss Donna is suspicious that someone dumped me, as the economy is causing a lot of pet owners to do. No telling how long I'd been homeless, but I showed up heartworm positive. No worries! I'm undergoing treatment, the cost of which is being covered by Miss Donna.
